Heh, sorry about that. I've only had time to only read half of it because of my own busy stuff. But so far, very excellent! I'm growing smarter everytime I read it.
I was very interested the most though, but how you choose to didn't use piano as from what I've learned in ProTools, that is at least the look of it, it's very almost needed for alot of songs at least the melody.

The decision not to use any piano was for a few reasons. One of them was a purely creative one, which I mentioned, but I also wanted to exercise my counterpoint orchestration skills (outlining what a piano part would be using a collection of other instruments) a little bit. A number of the cues were written as piano pieces first (even Brawler's Ball/Tracking Shot) and then I took the piano out at a certain point.
I'm actually working on stuff towards the release of the documentary. I lost the directory of DVD Architect files for the actual discs themselves. Looking for those or need to recreate those.
Also, new album is out on my bandcamp website. Technically it's the soundtrack to lots of the gang miniventures, as it's what Tyler listens to while drawing. brianpetersmusic.bandcamp.com

Finally got around to reading the rest of the notes. Unfortunately, due to my own lacking knowledge I couldn't understand several of the artists that you mentioned, in which pieces that sounds like something, or pieces that was made similar. However, it does show to me that you use many different sources to create something of your own, and that there is originality.
It's amazing to hear that something so small, like the chorus part of the JOEY BIGIO song, toke so long. And it toke so much mixing just to make it sound right. I would have figured you just needed to filter it once with an effect and it'll be good...but then, that's why I got Cs in my audio classes.
Overall, just wonderful stuff Brian. Glad to read all that finally, too.
