most of you play video games.
most of you played cod.

brian brought to my attention this leaked footage of the beginning of the game.
i doubt it still online so im not going to bother posting the link.

you have the option of playing as a terrorist in the beginning, gunning down unarmed citizens in an airport.

cod gone too far to be "edgy"?

or is this a poignant, realistic and frighting depiction of the world we live in?

I've heard of games being made depicting the same kind of thing but they had been used for military training as apposed to being a commercially available game like Call of Duty. I guess thats how far that can take games like these now but the idea is something that you don't really expect but thats probably the only way they are ever gonna get truly realistic.

Don't you gun down innocent bystanders like.. everywhere in every GTA game?

Nothing really shocks me anymore, videogamewise. I'm sure playing a simulation of the battle of Pearl Harbor would have been controversial in like, the fifties so whatever. Airport violence. Whatever.

Gonna go with Emu on this one. I hardly ever get shocked by what video game characters does. In fact, the only way they can shock me or "go to far" is to find a new way to kill someone or to show even more things that were once covered up.

I don't know why people will find this so disturbing or think it "goes too far". And you don't HAVE to play that part if you don't want to, the game warns you and gives you the choice.
No-one bats an eyelid when this stuff happens in movies.
