Let's hear what you guys think of the new UIC Adventures episode. We'll begin with a hate-filled rant courtesy of Terry.

after all the crap I said, I really tried to like it.. I even laughed a few times, but man.. what a mish mash for nonsense.. han didn't do anything, the whole story for this episode was just blurred out by stupid attempts to cover plot for future episodes which is totally unnecessary. Did the munman thing really need to be explained?? I was okay with it before. And even so, you didn't give us any new information.. even not knowing really why you wrote the original Munman saga I knew it was a teacher who was pissed about class being canceled and then freaking out, what else do we need to know? I'm surprised tyler didn't try to explain the change in art style by adding some sort of UIC disease brakeout that makes you all shrink for a little bit.

Well that's all I got for this one.. I give it one well deserved thumbs down. What's ep. 4 gonna be called? "Filling in more useless plot?"

I liked it actually, there were plenty of funny moments some of which i could relate to such as a so called short lecture being something like 50+ minutes lol.

I forgot to mention the awful establishing shots that were photoshoped.. what are you too good for the titles that just say "Next day in class." they tried to make this too much like a movie and less like a short story... that's why it's failsauce.

I didn't really get it, but I think all the voice actors did surprisingly well. Especially Mike's mom!

Before Readaing Comics:
Tyler, you can make some cute and funny girls, though unrealistic at all. Still, I enjoyed it quite abit. I very much enjoyed your drawings in the episode, and about halfway into it I started drawing myself. Your still much more advance than me, how do you think of the poses you draw for what their saying? It seems to easy, and I'm still very static and facing the camera, not interesting at all.

By the way, the climax of the episode made me think of Dragonball.

Terry, I'm surprised that you think that there was going to be any new information. From what I can understand, it's a story that was written years ago, and will most likely not matter all that much anyways. There wasn't much build up for it, and it seemed kind of an extra anyways. I'm personally fine with Han not doing anything, as it seems to always be doing something so it's nice to see him as a 'not doing anything' character once in awhile.

The 'catfight' was fine, and it was kind of hot in a stupid kind of way. But then, I've always known you (as in Tyler) was perverted for any girl as seen in Tyler Adventures and the commentaries.

personally, i consider very few of these panels "good". in terms of how well theyre drawn, spacing, lettering, angles etc.

i dont have any formal comic book training. these comics as they are now arent too far from their origins as scribblings in an art history notebook.

drawing/planning a page boils down to a few things, namely space management and keeping the panels exciting and varied.

often times i will forgo the "exciting and varied" rule to make them just plain "understandable". since it is black and white and not truly "animated", a constant concern for me is to make sure people understand the action taking place. thats where sound effects also come in.

the best advice i can give to making your own comics look realistic is to just study what professional comic artists do. even if that means copying some panels to get a feel of it. take a look at how they illustrate different actions or conversations. if something looks wrong, you will usually be able to tell.

to be fair, I did laugh a lot at the not liking joey parts, and abury made me pee my pants.. you could salvage this if you edit it down, and have han fail at some point.. You didn't even use the music in this one!!!

Pee your pants? Failsauce? You're starting to hang around the Teen Girl Squad a little too much...

its funny you mention that....today i met terrys real life teen girl squad...they have nicknames and everything! but theyre more of a college girl squad.

theyre all pretty cute too...although im sure thats the last time i will ever see them, as i was in full force today.
